Unifly and SkeyDrone Sign Strategic Partnership Agreement to Advance Safe and Efficient Integration of Drones into the Airspace

Geneva, Switzerland – Unifly and SkeyDrone, two leading companies in the drone and UAS traffic management (UTM) industry, announced today that they have signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, Unifly will provide their automated, interoperable, and proven UTM platform, which is fully compliant with the newest U-space regulation, to SkeyDrone. SkeyDrone will leverage Unifly’s platform to add their aviation-grade traffic data and value-added services to help drone operators with all required regulated services, delivering end-to-end solutions that enable them to operate drones safely and securely.

The combination of Unifly’s leading UTM platform and SkeyDrone’s expertise on regulation, which recently resulted in Europe’s first scalable pre-U-space BVLOS framework in the sea port of Antwerp, will allow international scaling of SkeyDrone’s U- space and drone detection solutions. This partnership will drive the further activation of the drone services market. SkeyDrone will integrate Unifly’s UTM platform with its own data services solutions, allowing the company to offer U-space services to drone operators with the highest levels of safety and security.

Unifly, rooted in aviation, envisions enabling autonomous aviation by driving technology to advance the safety and efficiency of autonomous aviation in everyday life. The Unifly platform connects drone operators, authorities, and other stakeholders to safely integrate drones into the airspace. By fully digitizing and automating Traffic Management, and by integrating with drones, Air Traffic Management (ATM), and other UAS Traffic Management (UTM) systems through standardized interfaces, the platform is addressing the exponential growth in air traffic generated by drones.

“With this partnership we are giving a strong signal to the drone services market,” said Hendrik-Jan Van Der Gucht, CEO of SkeyDrone. “Our objective at SkeyDrone is to shape the safest and most secure solutions for drone operators, and this partnership will help us achieve that. By collaborating with Unifly, we can develop innovative, efficient, and secure solutions that will benefit the entire drone ecosystem.”

“We are excited to be partnering with SkeyDrone,” said Andres Van Swalm, CEO of Unifly. “Our mission at Unifly is to enable the safe, efficient, and scalable integration of drones into the airspace. By working together, we can create a comprehensive suite of solutions for drone operators.”

The strategic partnership between Unifly and SkeyDrone brings together Unifly’s proven experience in UTM and U-space and SkeyDrone’s expertise in enabling scaled and safe drone operations. The companies aim to create a comprehensive suite of U-space solutions that will meet the needs of drone operators in a variety of industries.
