About SkeyDrone

SkeyDrone, a subsidiary of both skeyes, the Belgian Air Navigation Service Provider, and Brussels Airport Company, the Belgian national airport operator, is offering software-based services to operators of unmanned aircraft (drones) and geo-zone managers. The company’s ambition is to become one of Europe’s U-space service providers by 2024. Besides UTM (UAS Traffic Management) services, SkeyDrone is active in the domain of SORA consultancy, drone data analytics and C-UAV.

About this job

You will be responsible for the deployment and monitoring of the different SkeyDrone environments. Good organizational skills and attention to details are prerequisites.

Most important of all: you are motivated by aeronautical evolution and willing to make the difference in a dynamic working environment.

What does a DevOps Engineer at SkeyDrone do?

    • You will design and implement tools for automated deployment and monitoring of multiple environments.

    • You will work in Agile, collaborative environment to build, deploy, configure, and maintain systems, which includes software installations, updates, and core services.

    • You will work with development teams to enable a continuous integration environment that sustains high productivity levels and emphasizes defect prevention techniques.

    • You will automate and optimize processes, using tools like GitLab, Azure DevOps, Gradle, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes Operators, etc.

    • Collaborate with the engineering team to realise SkeyDrone’s ambitions.

Candidate profile

  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a software company.

  • A Bachelor or higher in a technical field.

  • Strong organisational and project management skills.

  • You are great at resolving, debugging, and designing & implementing solutions to complex technical / system level problems.

  • You are familiar with Linux based cloud operating systems.

  • You can troubleshoot issues in development, test and production instances.

  • You have experience in maintaining production systems deployed to the cloud.

  • You can design Grafana dashboards to monitor production systems.

  • You are familiar with containerization technology and have experience with Kubernetes.

  • You are not afraid of making use of scripting in languages like Bash, Python or JavaScript.

  • You have an interest in, understanding of, or experience with Agile Development Methodology.

  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and enthusiastic about learning new tools & technologies.

  • Attention to details.
